• Copenhagen Favourite – Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

    Tiina Kivelä

    Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is a Copenhagen classic which isn’t even located in Copenhagen.* Easily reachable from the city though. It hosts interesting and thought provoking art ( both the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions ) + excellent museum shop and café –highly recommended then.  I’ve seen Picasso there, and many more, but what I’m personally most fascinated about in Louisiana is the space I call the Giacometti room.**

    The thing with that space is the combination of the view, the art and the sculptures, but also and most remarkably the architecture of the space itself; reminding me of the many buildings I spend time as a (art student) kid.

    It’s a place where I feel very home. Where I feel like I belong.

  • May I Have Some Bread With My Mussels, Please

    Tiina Kivelä

    Oh Scandinavia, Finland and Musling;

    when do you learn to serve some bread with your moules (mussels) ?

    It’s a pity you serve great moules (mussels) in great broths, but haven’t thought how nice it would be

    to dip the bread in the broth when all the moules are gone.

    You can leave the frits to Belgium, but bread… Always serve bread. Please.

    Moules: MuslingLinnésgade 14, 1361 København K

    Bread: nowhere to be seen

    A postcard from Copenhagen.

    Thank you Copenhagen for pretty arrangements and serious Tolix graving. The white, seen here, looks awesome, but so did the anthracite seen in The Union Kitchen. But first, I need to find the place of mine in which to place the seats to have a seat…

    Ps. I’m going to tag all the recent posts, tweets and snapshots on Copenhagen with “notes from cph” or #notesfromcph, so that when you, like me, are highly interested in everything CPH related, you can easily follow and get the best tips, by following the tags. Enjoy!
