As it happened, I found a new paradise, a happy place, almost by an accident. Last Friday, after a hectic week (new country, town and job) I wandered along the river to one of the lakes in Interlaken. It was a sunny and hot day and after reaching my destination I was greeted with these views. Clear turquoise water, white mountain tops and those chairs… I finally realised I was in Switzerland (that busy I was that it took almost a week to realise this) and this time I was going to stay.*
Can’t wait for all the adventures this place and surroundings will bring in the future. I’ll have my friends and mountains close, and I know I’ll be happy. Blessed and full of gratitude. Will learn some new tricks and hopefully language, and reach as many mountain tops as possible. Or at least try to do that. And keep on traveling.
I’ve come a long way. And I feel home.*
*Or will stay, and felt and will feel again when I’m back next week. Took a little trip to Lapland in between.
So I went places. And come back. And soon I’m going back to a place, now for good. Switzerland was as lovely as always and as it happened I managed to find a nice job and new home. In Switzerland.
I still have problems to fully understand what’s happened during the last few weeks; that I’m really moving to Switzerland. It’s been my dream, but somehow I had managed to forget that some dreams, even the greatest ones, become reality. And that I really can and will move to this tiny lovely place in the middle of Europe and the Swiss Alps.
Haven’t had time to write about the trip last week, nor about what I’m doing these days. I’m busy busy; excited and a bit stressed, but more than else happy. Moving abroad and starting something totally new is never easy, and after I’ve survived all this mess and made my way to Switzerland I’ll try to share some tips and tricks on how I made my way through all this. Until then – enjoy these photos (more on Instagram and Snapchat); and summer in general, wherever you are.
Talk to you later!
